Violinist Kerenza Peacock’s understanding of music cannot be pigeonholed; she crosses boundaries beyond the institutionalized music scene when, in addition to classical concerts, she regularly plays in hospices, in prison settings, on a canal boat in Amsterdam, a casino in Las Vegas, a souk in Syria or in the king’s chamber of the Great Pyramid.
She is a wanderer between the worlds of classical, traditional, and pop music. In addition to phenomenal reviews for her recording of Vivaldi’s Seasons, she has much-acclaimed first recordings of contemporary composers such as Oliver Davis, which dominated the classical charts, and an equally successful career with the bluegrass band “The Coal Porters”. She has recorded multiple film soundtracks at Abbey Road and Hollywood Studios. She has recorded CDs with pop greats such as Adele, Barbra Streisand, Noel Gallagher, Paul McCartney, the Spice Girls, Kanye West, Cee-Lo Green, The Script, Pink, Paul Weller, One Direction, Celine Dion and Emeli Sande.
She has shared the stage with many stars of the classical scene, such as Andrea Bocelli, Hayley Westenra, Il Divo, Katherine Jenkins, Sir Willard White, Russell Watson, and Charlotte Church. Her orchestral experience is impressive: recordings with the London Symphony Orchestra, and work with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the BBC Concert Orchestra. She has led many orchestras in Westend shows, including solo violin in ‘Fiddler on the Roof’.
Kerenza’s debut solo album was the world premiere of the Holbrooke Violin Concerto. She played on Eric Whitacre’s album “Light and Gold”, No. 1 in the Classical Charts on both sides of the Atlantic, which won a Grammy Award. Kerenza has played simultaneously on all three highest-ranking Pop Chart albums alongside the Classical Charts No. 1 album.
Kerenza Peacock has played over 25 Stradivari violins.
Kerenza Peacock supports MUSIC OF HOPE actively and is project ambassador.
