Angela Rose Padula, 18, is a fourth-year cello student of Clive Greensmith at Colburn Music Academy, where she is a Greendale Scholar. Angela Rose was accepted into the Perlman Music Program (PMP) in 2020 and studies with Clara Minhye Kim and Zvi Plesser as well as Laurence Lesser, chamber music under the direction of Itzhak Perlman, Merry Peckham and Jia Kim. Angela Rose is 1st prize winner of the Colburn Music Academy Concerto Competition. In 2025 she will perform Tchaikovsky’s “Rococo Variations”. She was selected as a 2025 National YoungArts Winner, 2024 finalist for “From the Top”. She performed as a soloist with the Oregon Mozart Players when she won the Junior Division of the Young Soloist Competition at the age of 12. Angela Rose is a member of the Trío de Ángeles in Colburn, winner of the Horszowski Trio Prize 2024. Angela Rose plays on a John Betts cello on loan from the Geeting family.
