Antonia Engelke

Antonia Engelke, 16 years old, a student at the Theodor-Heuss-Gymnasium Göttingen, started playing the cello at the age of 4 and has had numerous public appearances, 2024 as first soloist in Vivaldi’s Concerto for Two Cellos in Truro, UK. Her work has brought her together with internationally renowned musicians such as Nicholas McGegan, Phoebe Carrai, and Elisabeth Blumenstock. Furthermore, Antonia loves to sing and record French chansons, speaks several foreign languages , and is a prizewinner of the German Federal Foreign Languages Competition. In addition to her social commitment to several networks and organizations, e.g., UNICEF, she has been involved in hospice work for a long time, especially as part of various benefit concerts for MUSIC OF HOPE. She supports the recording studio work in Neu-Mariahilf Chapel. Antonia is Youth Ambassador of MUSIC OF HOPE, which finds its way to young people through young specialists.
Antonia plays the champion instrument of the 2022 German Instrument Makers Prize by Thomas Stöhr.
